Privacy Policy

⚠ Plain-language draft, not legal advice. This explains how we intend to handle your data. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it.

Cybernaut Apps ("Cybernaut," "we," "us") has built games and small software experiences since 2016. This policy covers cybernaut.app and our apps (Cosmos, Jupiter, Linds.io, Apollo, Orbit, and Pluto). Our stance is simple and matches the promise on our homepage: we never sell or share your personal data, and nothing we build is funded by ads.

The short version

  • We collect the minimum we need to run our games and keep your account working.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We never have.
  • There are no third-party ad or tracking networks in our apps.
  • You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

Account identity (through Orbit). Orbit is our identity layer. When you sign in — using a provider such as Google or Discord — we receive and store basic profile details from that provider: your name, email address, and avatar. We use these to create your account, sign you in across Cybernaut apps, and contact you about your account.

Payment records (through Stripe). Purchases, where they exist, are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers. We keep a record of what was purchased and when, for receipts, support, and accounting.

Minimal logs and aggregate analytics. Our servers keep standard operational logs (such as IP address, timestamps, and error/crash diagnostics) and basic, aggregate usage counts that help us keep the apps running and fix bugs. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking networks.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal data to anyone.
  • We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don't build advertising profiles or track you across other sites.

How we use your information

  • To run game sessions and keep your account and sign-in working.
  • To process and document purchases.
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the experience.
  • To reply when you contact us.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to operate: our sign-in providers (via Orbit), Stripe for payments, and our hosting/infrastructure vendors. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or Cybernaut.

Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Operational logs are kept only as long as they're useful for security and debugging, then discarded. Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we're required to retain records.

Your choices & rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Children

Cybernaut apps are intended for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, and we limit what we collect in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but minimizing what we hold is our first line of defense.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice within the apps.

Promise

No data selling. No data sharing. Purchases at cost. Most games run at a net loss, and we like it that way.
